I like to believe I design for someone specific; I just may not know who that is right away. Therefore, each piece is different and unique. The secret and sacred connection forged in every one of my jewelry creations becomes apparent as soon as it crosses paths with its new home. That’s when the magic happens.
My jewelry-making obsession started with beading and wirework. Then, in 2005, I took “Metalsmithing 101” at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle and that was the beginning of the end. With the discovery of fire, I was hooked and have been addicted to making metal and gemstone jewelry ever since. Each piece is handcrafted and one of a kind (as, truthfully, I get bored making the same design over and over). Each stone is also a unique gift from nature with all its inclusions, flaws, and character. In addition to traditional silver smithing and stone setting, I melt scrap gold and repurpose diamonds, making old jewelry new and precious again. This time, it’s personal.
